"One crisp day in August 2006, when my wife Diane and I were toying with the idea of moving to a better house, vaguely unhappy with another agent we had talked with, we stopped at Frank Howard Allen’s office in Strawberry. We told a tastefully dressed employee that we were looking to buy a beautiful house. The first words out of her mouth were an optimistic and confident, ‘Then, I can help you” – a salve to our anxious hearts. Fay’s words proved more prophetic than perhaps she herself could have known.
A little more than one month later, we had moved into an exquisite home near top of Ring Mountain on Taylor Road, and were well on our way to selling our two condominiums at Quarry Meadows. Our decision to buy came quickly largely because as Fay took us to numerous houses, she developed a sense of what we were looking for, and her knowledge of available Marin properties led her to that unique house we wanted. Even then, after we had settled on a house, Fay continued to take us to other properties just to be sure. The fact that some were less expensive that the one we have chosen proved to me that Fay’s standard is client satisfaction, not her own compensation.
During this time and in the four months since, in the face of a collapsing housing market, Fay has worked tirelessly on our behalf to sell our condos, holding numerous open houses and broker’s opens, pursuing the slightest leads, reinventing the staging of the units, and being continuously available to talk 24/7. She is a perfectionist and her attention to detail and paperwork has been thorough. She has also taken good advantage of the backup that her firm makes available. We never doubted that with her help, the difficult transition would work out. As we write this, one condo has been sold and the other is under contract. But best of all, Fay is just great to work with, and we like to think that through this process we have become friends."
